Carat Perth MD Adam Marshall named ‘Ad Person of the Year’

Carat Perth MD, Adam Marshall, was named Campaign Brief’s 2016 ‘Advertising Person of the Year’ at Friday night’s Oasis Ball in Perth, honoring the industry veteran for leading the Perth agency to its most successful year to date.

Under Marshall’s leadership, the last 12 months has seen Carat Perth secure a number of new business wins, including Thermomix, Road Safety Council, Beaumont Tiles, The West Australian, Plunkett Homes, and Allinta Energy.

Growth has been bolstered by several critical new hires including ex-PHD strategic heavyweight, Mark Pinney, now in the role of Head of Strategy, and Paul Clout, who helped launch & lead Carat Connect – the agency’s specialist sponsorship & integration division – locally.

The ‘Ad Person of the Year’ award is a prestigious honour that aims to recognise the individual that has not only enjoyed personal success over the course of the past year, but has also made a significant impact on the industry.

Carat CEO Paul Brooks described the win as “beyond well-deserved”.

“Adam has had a hugely successful year at the helm of one of our fastest-growing and most dynamic agencies. He’s done great things for our business & clients, and we look forward to seeing him do many more. The entire national leadership team wholeheartedly congratulates him. We’ve always thought he was fantastic, but it’s great to see the rest of the industry agrees.”

The annual Oasis Ball raises money for The Oasis Project - an initiative of the Western Australian advertising, media and communications industry that provides support to the Salvation Army's Crossroads West programme.
